Why use an energy meter for solar parks?
An energy meter (or kWh meter) records the amount of electricity produced by the solar park and/or fed into the grid. This allows you to:
Measure yields: How many kWh are being produced?
Compare with predictions: Are the panels performing efficiently, or is there a loss of capacity?
Monitor grid feed-in: How much electricity is actually being returned to the grid?
Detect faults: Identify deviations from expected production.
How does it work?
Energy meter installation:
Installed at the inverter(s) or at the grid connection point.Reading via communication protocol:
We use the Modbus protocol.Monitoring software collects data:
Data is sent in real time to our monitoring platform, 101Connect.Visualization and reporting:
Users can access dashboards for production, consumption, CO₂ savings, etc.
Alerts can be set up for any deviations.
